Failed Turkey Coup: List Of Institutions In Nigeria Indicted

The Turkish ambassador to Nigeria, Hakan Cakil had on Wednesday called on the Nigerian Government to shut down 17 Turkish institutions in the country over their alleged connections with the recent failed coup attempt in Turkey.

Cakil made this disclosure when Shehu Sani, Vice-Chairman, Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, paid him a courtesy visit.

The envoy alleged that some institutions in the country are owned by the Fethullah Gulen Terrorist Organization.

According to the ambassador, investigations by the Turkish government have linked the Fethullah Gulen Terrorist Organisation (FETO) to the failed coup attempt, which claimed over 300 lives.

The indicted institutions are:

Surat Educational Limited, Abuja
Nigerian-Turkish International School, in Abuja
Nigerian-Turkish International School, Kaduna
Nigerian-Turkish International School, Kano
Nigerian-Turkish International School, Yobe
Nigerian-Turkish International School, Ogun
Nigerian-Turkish International School, Lagos
Nigerian-Turkish Nile University, Abuja
The Association of Businessmen and Investors of Nigeria and Turkey/Abinat, Abuja
The Association of Businessmen and Investors of Nigeria and Turkey/Abinat, Lagos
Ufuk Dialogue Foundation, Abuja
Nigerian-Turkish Nizamiye Hospital, Abuja
Vefa Travel Agency, Abuja
